REMEMBER YOUR WHY

Life inevitablely brings us challenges, opportunities, there are pros and cons, there are sometimes unknowns and sometimes the fear of that unknown has been preventing you from making tangible positive change in your life. However, when that realisation and acceptance that vital changes are needed to be made become reality.

If you did nothing and remained the same, how would that decision to to avoid change affect you and the people closest to you?

In these situations, its important to remain mentally grounded in order to think clearly and remind yourself as to your underlining reasons for your intentions or for following a particular path that influences your decision making...

For example, you've come to accept that your current poor health, fitness, unhealthy eating habits and wellbeing needs to change and its having a negative impact on those close to you. You started your fitness journey to lose weight, progress maybe slow and you've come against many barriers and setbacks...you are not seeing the results you had hoped for, you are frustrated and want to quit... but ask yourself...

• Why did you really start?

• What are your reasons for starting?

• Who are you doing it for?

• What impact would improving your health & fitness have on your life? (and the lives of the people closest to you?)

• Are you a positive rolemodel for tjosw closest to you?

REMEMBER YOUR WHY...remember why you are doing it and for who, remember what drives you, what motivates you, what keeps you fighting, what gets you out of bed each morning!

I'll be open and share with you some of my WHYs and hopefully it may inspire you to think about yours!

* For myself - the process of self exploration and never ending personal growth and self improvement, developing and optimising my mind and body to its fullest potential. (This is a deep topic but i'll keep it simple)

For example,

When I think I'm at my physical and mental limits, is there more?

YES!! Always! " Don't Ever Give Up!!"

Reflection upon:

How could I have approached / dealt with this / that situation better?

How can my form / technique be improved next time?" Etc, etc

* To be able to take pride in my achievements and satified that I unleashed every drop of potential before my body finally gives up (not finished yet!)

* To be a good role model for my kids - to be the best I can be physically, mentally and importantly as a father in order to give them the tools to thrive and succeed in life (more than I have), to inspire them to be the best they possibly can be in life and whatever path they choose.

* For my Dad who is no longer with us...Our Dad suffered from a long term disability and due to health & illness he was not often able to be as involved as much as he would want when we was growing up.

His passing positively triggered my decisions to invest more into developing myself professionally, physically and mentally in order give my best self to help other peoples improve health, fitness and quality of life!

*To make a positive meaningful impact on others, improve quality of life and changing peoples lives for the better.

* To support, educate and pass on to people the sustainable tools to also be the best they can be, whether that be mentally in mindset, or physically for health and fitness in order for them to achieve their goals and THEIR WHYs!!

So what are your WHYs?

Who are you doing it for?

What drives you to be your best?
